The challenge
One system, ideally one vendor.
The OEM manufacturer needed a returnable rack to move and protect its product — but a bare rack was only half the problem. The parts inside needed custom material handling to locate, cushion and present them correctly, and that material handling had to be designed to work with the rack, not bolted on afterward.
Sourcing the two halves separately meant coordinating a rack fabricator and a material-handling supplier, reconciling two sets of drawings, and owning the gaps where their scopes met. The customer wanted a single partner who could take responsibility for the whole returnable system — the returnable steel rack and everything that goes in it — and stand behind how the pieces fit together.
